Pivot hardware lets us build far wider and taller than a conventional hinge allows, without the door ever feeling heavy.
Custom Pivot Doors for Homes and Entries
A pivot door turns on a hinge at the top and bottom instead of along the side, so it can be taller and wider than a normal door and still open and close with ease. We build custom pivot doors for front entries, bedrooms, closets and interiors, in steel, glass, wood, copper and stainless steel.
Pivot Doors in Many Materials
Our pivot doors include a heavy gauge copper front door that is nine feet tall and five feet wide with a green patina, a teak pivot door with sidelight and slotted glass, a large aluminum skinned front door built to handle the elements, and stainless steel and mirror pivot closet doors for a clean, modern look.
Interior Pivot Doors
Inside the home, pivot doors work as clean metal and glass doors that look rich with a black patina, as painted Shaker style bedroom doors with satin glass for privacy, or as a patina metal door with a charred wood center. We have also built a pivoting door from Thermowood, a wood that is baked to make it very stable.
The Right Hardware Matters
A pivot door is only as good as its hardware. We always use the best pivot hardware, and we pair it with handles and locks that suit the door, such as a long stainless steel pull and a Baldwin deadbolt on our teak front door.
Made in Tampa, Shipped Across the U.S.
We are a family-owned shop in Tampa, Florida, and our pivot doors have gone to homes in Arizona, Connecticut and California. Every door is made to order and shipped across the country.
Why Choose a Pivot Door
Because a pivot door carries its weight on hardware at the floor and top, it can be built far taller and wider than a standard hinged door and still open smoothly. That makes it a natural choice for grand entries, large closets and rooms where you want an architectural statement.
Wood, Metal and Glass Together
Pivot doors look great when materials are combined. Thermowood and teak bring warmth, copper and aluminum bring weather resistance and character, and glass lets light through. Send us the look you have in mind and we will build the door around it.
