Barn door measurements

Record the finished opening first. Then choose your slide direction and record the hardware space. Don't have every measurement yet? Fill in what you can and we'll help with the rest.

Use a tape measure. Measure the clear opening between the finished jambs or trim, not the outside trim edges. Enter every reading; do not average. All measurements in inches.

Wall space is measured from the opening edge to the first obstruction.

Hardware clearance: measure from the top of the finished opening to the ceiling, soffit or lowest obstruction above the proposed track. Record the smallest available height. Patina Yard will confirm room for the selected hardware.
