About Us
A Family Business Building Custom Metalwork in Tampa
Patina Yard is a family-owned custom metalwork business, founded in 2013 and based in Tampa, Florida. Everything we make starts with an idea, a sketch, and a conversation with you. Designers, architects, builders and homeowners come to us for pieces that are not only functional but beautiful: barn doors, steel and glass doors, fireplaces, mirrors, cabinets and more.
Our work comes from more than 35 years of designing and building. For over 30 of those years we worked in Arizona, where Dave was a licensed contractor, before moving the business to Tampa in 2024. Every piece gets personal attention from our team, from the first drawing to the final finish.
Meet Our Team
Dave Crawford
Owner and Designer
Dave is our design visionary. He has been designing and creating for over 35 years and was a licensed contractor in Arizona for more than 30 years. He works with wood as well as metal, thinks outside the box, and draws and builds pieces that surprise people. Designers, architects, builders and homeowners bring him their ideas, and he turns them into work that is both functional and beautiful.
Jody Crawford
Owner and Client Relations
Jody holds an interior design degree and is the first person you will talk to. She handles quotes, finances and customer care, creates drawings, and sometimes helps out in the shop. She truly cares about every customer, and quality and your complete satisfaction are extremely important to her, from the first call to delivery.
Dylan Crawford
Lead Welder and Owner in Training
Dylan is our lead welder. Before joining Patina Yard he was a mechanic, so he works well with his hands and has great attention to detail. For the last two years he has worked side by side with Dave, leading the welding, fabrication and finishing in our shop. As our owner in training, he will carry Patina Yard forward as the next generation of the family business.

“I wanted to elevate the bar area in my house with brass shelves and am so glad I went with Patina Yard. Jody and David worked with me over two weeks to find just the right measurements and finish. It was a truly “custom” experience. The shelves are high quality and beautiful. I couldn’t be happier!”

“I searched for 12 months to find a custom barn door manufacturer who would make my contemporary barn door with an inlay resin feature and finally found Patina Yard. From start to finish they were excellent to work with.”
